Care Guide

Read our detailed shoe care guide here

Putting them on: When putting on your shoes, always use a shoe horn to avoid cracking and potentially damaging the heel of the shoes.

Brush them: After each wear, gently brush away any dirt or dust using a soft cloth or shoe brush. It will help keep your shoes fresh and clean. When it comes to suede uppers make sure to use a rubber suede brush to help to lift any dirt and debris.

Store with shoe trees: Always store your shoes with appropriate shoe trees to ensure that they regain and maintain their shape.

Let them rest: We suggest rotating between different pairs of shoes every second day throughout the course of the week. Just like you, your shoes need a good rest.

About the Ito

A distinguished loafer. Inspired by modernist architecture.

"Form should follow function" - Louis Suillivan

Inspired by modernist architecture, the simple lines of the Ito express the idea of beauty through function.

An almond-shaped toe provides subtle masculinity whilst a clean and wide toe strap, stripped of ornamentation and balanced with the width of the heel and vamp, adds a powerful presence. The last, designed in-house, is gently padded for a comfortable fit right out of the box.

Inspirations

The only shoes my dad ever wore

"My dad always wore loafers and just looked damn good. He wore shoes he bought in Lebanon from a place called Benito. He'd go down to the greengrocer in them - didn't care if he was overdressed."

- Gabriel Abi-Saab, Etymology Founder & Creative Director

Almansa Spain

Craftsmanship

Handcrafted in Spain

Nestled at the foothills of Almansa, Spain, at the base of 14th sandstone fortifications, our workshop crafts shoes by hand over 125 steps. Working with the world's best suppliers of raw materials, including tanneries in South America, Italy, and Spain, they make each pair with a Goodyear welted sole, to allow them to be resoled, for enduring form and function.
